ENZYMATIC POLYMER BREAKER TRIALS

Precision below
the surface.

Enzyme blends for laboratory evaluation of susceptible polymers in drilling fluids and filter-cake residues. Match the breaker to the polymer.

START WITH THE APPLICATION

Start with the polymer.
Then select the breaker.

Polymer identity, substitution and the complete fluid formulation matter. Test against representative material at the intended conditions.

01 / STARCH POLYMERS

A starch-led starting point.

Review starch-containing fluid and filter-cake samples with Starch Breaker Pro. Confirm the substrate and operating window before testing.

Residual viscosity · fluid compatibility · temperature

02 / CELLULOSIC POLYMERS

Look at the cellulose.

Evaluate susceptibility using Cellulose Breaker Pro. Modified cellulose should be assessed in the actual fluid rather than assumed to respond.

Polymer identity · substitution · treatment time

Discuss this application →
03 / XYLAN-CONTAINING MATERIAL

Screen the accessible fibre.

Discuss Xylan Breaker Pro for materials containing susceptible xylan and cell-wall components. Use a matched untreated comparison.

Feedstock composition · accessibility · rheology

A PRACTICAL ROUTE FORWARD

Existing blends.
Application-led trials.

The established S&T Breaker Pro range is available in 1 L, 10 L and 25 L pack options. Check current availability and pricing at the main store.

Starch Breaker Pro

High-temperature α-amylase, medium-temperature α-amylase and β-amylase. A blend for evaluating susceptible starch-containing materials.

Discuss starch trials →

Cellulose Breaker Pro

Exo-cellulase, endo-cellulase and β-glucosidase. Review the full fluid formulation and polymer specification before selection.

Discuss cellulose trials →

Xylan Breaker Pro

Xylanase with exo-cellulase and endo-cellulase. Screen representative material to establish whether these activities address your residue.

DEFINE SUCCESS BEFORE THE TRIAL

Test the fluid.
Measure the response.

Compare like with like. Agree the method, controls and decision criteria before scaling up.

IdentifyPolymer type, loading and fluid additives
SelectTemperature, pH, salinity and contact time
CompareMatched samples with and without treatment
EvaluateViscosity, residue and relevant filter-cake metrics

A USEFUL FIRST STEP

Start with a brief.
Build the evidence.

Qualified industrial samples are reviewed against the proposed laboratory trial. Bulk supply, selected pack size and any tailored formulation are quoted on enquiry.

Plan the next step ↗
  1. Share the formulation.

Polymer identity, additive list, salinity, pH and temperature profile.

  2. Define the laboratory endpoint.

Choose a repeatable measure such as viscosity change or residue response at a stated treatment time.

  3. Review before field deployment.

Use the laboratory data and operator requirements to decide the next evaluation stage.

BEFORE YOU START

The details
that matter.

Does one blend break every drilling polymer?

No. These blends are substrate-specific. Susceptibility depends on polymer chemistry, modification and the full fluid formulation.

Can I assume it will work at downhole temperature?

Review the selected product specification and test the intended temperature, pH and salinity profile. A laboratory result at one condition does not establish performance at another.

Do you offer bulk supply?

Yes, send your volume, application and delivery destination. Current pack options and prices are also shown on the S&T product pages.

Do I need new product labels?

These are existing S&T Breaker Pro products. We retain their established identities; a new label is discussed only for a distinct agreed formulation.

Do you offer bulk supply and tailored blends?

Send your application, required quantity, specifications and delivery destination. We will review a suitable supply or development route and provide a quotation.
